Pictures of the Transformation

Before I delve into our mass of Chicago pictures, I thought I'd better get our bedroom furniture pictures posted since our Chicago trip will take a few days.

Here is a picture of our old dresser. This dresser used to be Steve's growing up as a kid, and shortly after we got married I painted it and Steve put new hardware on it.

And here's our new dresser!

And our new bed with night-stands! We splurged and bought a Tempur-Pedic bed and pillows and we've had the best quality of sleep!

One of the best things we like is the under bed storage, although I guess we need more stuff because we have empty drawers.

On to Amaya's room.... here's her old dresser. This used to be my childhood dresser and I painted it white and put new knobs on it.

Complete with stickers peeling off...

and a little girl's cursive writing...

And now....

Her new night-stand. (I apologize for the unladylike pose....)

We had to be a little creative with the arrangement of the furniture because everything seemed to take up so much room! So we moved her kitchen in front of the window.

Along with all the rearranging, we started putting away some of her baby toys... and she wanted to help!

Time for bed!

Were we a little concerned about her falling out of bed? Absolutely! So, we arranged two more pillows around her to keep her tucked in bed!

She must have had a pretty good night's sleep too, because we didn't hear a peep out of her all night!
