Happy Memorial Day! My parents invited us over to their house to celebrate and had a wonderful indoor picnic with Kentucky Fried Chicken.
It was hot, hot, hot, so we brought Amaya's swimsuit over to run through the sprinkler.

A little later in the evening, once it had cooled down to a mere 85 degrees... we decided to go for a walk - or as Amaya would call it, "A Parade."
Our "parade" took us a couple of blocks away to my friend, Pauline's house. She gave us a tour of her gardens in the backyard and Amaya got to meet her dog, "Angel." Amaya was a little timid around Angel, but it was obvious she wanted to play with her!
We had a wonderful day and are grateful for all of those men and women who have served our country!
