There are so many yummy foods to eat at the fair, but Amaya and I decided to eat at Roscoe's Barbeque... I know the owner, so we try to support them as much as we can. Afterwards, we looked in a few of the buildings to see the exhibits.
We typically don't get through many of the buildings, but this year we found a building full of fish!
There were also monkeys, wallabies, and parrots! It was fun to see different animals from the usual cows, pigs, and sheep.

Next on our agenda: RIDES!
Amaya REALLY wanted to go on the Ferris Wheel and we thought she'd be able to. Unfortunately, she needed to be 42 inches tall... maybe next year...
We walked around first to scope out all the rides.
Carol... this picture is for you! This ride is called, "The Zipper". My dear sister, made me go on this ride when I had just turned 9. It goes up and around, and spins upside down. I remember screaming my head off and being absolutely terrified, but she wanted to go on it again and again - and I did! Eventually, I think I learned to like it... maybe that's why I love scary rides now!
The Carousel - can't go to a fair without riding a Carousel.
Our motorcycle babe! (Notice Dora in the background)
As if the motorcycle ride wasn't exciting enough, Amaya wanted to ride the cars.
Look at that concentration!
"Bring on the big rides, Mom! The motorcycles and cars were pretty tame... let's do the helicopters!"
Another one of my mom's favorite rides is more commonly called, "The Viking Ship." Here they called it, "Pharoah's Fury."
Mom and I decided we'd use up a few tickets and ride it! It was a blast, although next time we'll sit at the very top!
Grandpa and Amaya watched and waved to us while we were on the ride.
"Enough of the rides... I want COTTON CANDY!"
"Thanks Grandpa!"
"Let's see how much I can stuff in my mouth!"
"Yummy!"
Grandma and Grandpa got a strawberry smoothie and I got some mini-doughnuts and shared, but Amaya was quite content with her cotton candy.
ANIMALS! You can't go to the fair without seeing cows....
pigs....
horses...
ducks...
and more ducks...
roosters... (this one kept crowing and crowing at Amaya!)
bunnies...
sheep...
and more sheep! (This one almost licked me in the face. I was too preoccupied with my camera, that he came up to me within inches of my cheek!)

After we dropped Grandpa and Grandma at their house, went home and took baths and read books and sang... Amaya crashed and crashed HARD! All the excitement really tired her out! However, the next morning she didn't forget about all the fun she had. She woke up and the first thing she said was, "Mom, I want some cotton candy!" Ha-ha!
