We're anxiously awaiting for the paperwork to arrive with details about Amaya's preschool. We registered for a one day a week class on Fridays at the preschool at our church called, "Kingdom Kids."Since I'm at church on Thursdays anyway, we figured adding another day at church would be good. They have a 2 and 3 day a week class, but she's only 2 1/2... and thought maybe that would be too much. She is thrilled to be starting school and we've gotten a few school supplies already and have starting reading some books about preschool.
When I go to Bible Study on Thursday mornings, she sees all the "big kids" with backpacks going to preschool and last year she begged for a Dora backpack so she could go to school too.
The program she's enrolled in is for 2 1/2 year olds. During the first year, she'll learn to identify all the letters, count to 10, learn colors, and shapes. She's already mastered most of everything in the curriculum, but we thought the social interaction would be good for her. She's generally pretty shy at first, but when she warms up, she can be very outgoing.
Her first day of school is September 10th. Pretty soon it will be here before we know it!
