We're back home from our week long, crazy, and fun-filled adventure to Chicago! It'll be a few days before we can get all of our pictures uploaded and posted because as soon as our alarm clocks go off in the wee early morning hours, we're off and running again with a very full week.
This past week we went to: North Park University (where I went to college), The Children's Museum, Navy Pier, Shedd Aquarium, Water Tower Place, Brookfield Zoo, Adler Planetarium, Jackson Park/Beach, and Millennium Park. We still managed to find some time to relax at the hotel and go swimming, but the week absolutely flew by.
Even though we had a great time on vacation, it feels good to be home. We certainly don't miss the traffic or the homeless men walking down the middle of the street or the heat and humidity or the 10% sales tax or the gas prices and did I mention the TRAFFIC? But we will miss my old college friends, the lake, the museums and attractions, and the enormous skyscrapers! Already, we're planning our next vacation...
This upcoming week, Steve starts his internship, I have 3 meetings this week in addition to my regular 2 shifts of work, Steve has a couple doctor's appointments, and our bedroom furniture and Amaya's bedroom furniture arrives! Somehow, the laundry, grocery shopping, and housework will get done....
