Besides decorating and baking, another thing I love about Christmas is spending time with family - doing activities (sledding, ice skating, swimming), watching movies, laughing, and playing GAMES! Mike introduced us to the game, "Settlers of Catan" and we've now become addicted. It reminds me a little like Monopoly and a little like PIT. Players build settlements, cities, and roads to connect them as they settle the island of Catan. Players build by spending resources (brick, lumber, sheep, grain, and ore), represented by resource cards. Each settlement and city is awarded a point value and the person with 10 points is declared the winner. There's some strategy involved, but it's an easy enough game for the kids to play. Annika won twice the night we played!! I'm sure we'll be playing this game a lot when the Springers come for Christmas! CAN'T WAIT!!!
